    Tap Hazard Tilt

    Overview

Tap Hazard Tilt was a short little project as part of my "Optimised Programming for Mobile Devices" module. The game was to incorporate several mobile-specific control interfaces. This could be anything from tilting, tapping, swiping, GPS, accelerometer etc.

I have chosen to test myself and create the game one day. The game was to incorporate tapping, swiping and tilting, alongside simple and playable ruleset.

In the end, I wasn't able to incorporate swiping mechanic into the game, but I have incorporated the others. The game turned out pretty balanced and challenging. It is based around tapping all shapes except triangles. The trick is, that triangles can also blend in with other shapes, so the player has to continually focus and act fast, without making any mistakes.

I am happy with how this game turned out. It was a game-jam like experience, except I was operating on a much stricter time limit and completely on my own. All in all, an enriching project that was very fun to implement and play.
